Pleq is the solo project of Bartosz Dziadosz,an experimental musician who combines elements of drone, down tempo, glitch and modern classical. He creates his work by fusing together independently synthesized sounds, often incorporates violin, the unexpectedly melancholic sound of a piano, sometimes female vocals. Somewhere, something falls, something enters, rings ... there's a hissing and pop, like a short circuit on high voltage lines.
Carried by strong focus, Pleq's style is remarkably consistent, and may be described as: Glitch & Melancholy.
For many years Pleq has been appreciated abroad, whilst within Poland he is still regarded as the founder of a niche.
He has collaborated with a large number of artists, and is currently working on a new album in collaboration with Pjusk, from Norway.
In addition to the Belgian label U-Cover, Pleq's recordings have been released by Databloem ("The Seed" - a duet with Segue), Dataobscura ("Our Words Are Frozen", 2010), VU-US (''The Fallen Love'') Halbsicht Records ("Lucid Dream", 2008) and October Man Recordings ("The Lost Beauty", 2008) U- Cover( " My Life begins Today" ,2010),Basses Frequences ( EP "Good Night" 2010) - as a harbinger of the upcoming album "Ballet Mechanic",Impulsive Art (" Sound Of Rebirth", 2010),
The list of labels with which Pleq cooperates is impressive, as is the number of records he managed to craft over the past three years. In 2010 alone, there will be another four more albums.
In addition to playing in clubs and galleries, this year Pleq has played at festivals such as the Warsaw Summer Jazz Days, Open'er, Audio Art Festival in Krakow and Seven Festival in Croatia our In Touch Festival in Belarus, Insomnia Festival in Norway, Festival Ambientalny in Wroclaw, Vivisesja in Poznan.
Pleq also creates music for installations.
